Tawas area trout?

I'm looking to get out and do some trout fishing with my fly pole around the area, but I don't want to drive to far. I know the Au Sable river by Mio is a spot, I was just wondering if their is anything closer that I can get out to for a night fish? I'm a begginer so something that would be a little bit easier to fish would be nice, but I will take what I can get. Any help would be appreciated.

I think that the Rifle maybe your best bet. Go west on 55 until you hit it. The South Branch by Rollaways is another.
