Hi everyone,
I wanted to get your help in finding a youth or disabled hunter who drew an Elk tag for this season. It can be any season (sept/oct/dec) and who would like a guided elk hunt.
I was very fortunate to draw a tag in 1997 when I was 15 years old and booked a hunt with Dennis Casselman out of Gaylord. After 5 days of hard hunting, I was finally able to take the bull below. To this day, that was the greatest hunt of my life...one I would like to provide the opportunity for someone else.
So what I need from all of the members here (lurkers too) is some help in finding a young hunter who was fortunate enough to draw a tag. I would prefer it be someone who doesnt really have all the money in the world and can't easily afford to do this "once in a lifetime hunt."
Bottom line...Ive worked with Dennis and I want to pay for your guide so you too can have the opportunity I had when I was young without having to worry about the financial constraints of hiring someone to help you in this tough economy.
Thanks for reading and any help would be appreciated!
P.S. - Here's a crappy cell phone pic of my bull!

This is great of you!! Thanks for a great offer to this site! Too bad my son is only 11...you must be 12 - 16 for an elk transfer. Here is a link to possibly receive a transfer from another hunter!!

I think we may have found our hunter! Still waiting on approval from the guide but we have committed to sponsoring a youth hunter for the December hunt! It will be a nephew of a member of this site!
Thank you all and please do what you can this year to get a new hunter or someone who might not always have the opportunity into the woods this year! This is what MS is about...hunters helping hunters (and making fun of HunterHawk).

Way to go Scotty! Looks like the Connell boys are sharing their generosity early this year. I predict you guys will be blessed with good karma this season.
