Well i made it out on the Grand River last night and despite the recent rains and flash floods i was determined to shoot a few fish!! The water clarity was very much less than desirable but we stuck it out for a few good hours and hunted hard for some fish. Our saving grace were our HPS lights, if not for those we wouldnt have been able to see thru that very muddy high water. We managed to get 5 decent carp out of the trip AND my best common carp to date. Yes it did take a while for sure, and my partner had to put a back up shot on it for me so we had 2 arrows in him. We had to treat it like our first girlfriends.... nice and gentle. :lol: The gaff was a very useful tool also.

Dude, if you were half the waterfowl hunter as you are a carp hunter, you may actually kill a duck sometime soon...:lol::evil::lol:!!! Just joking :D

Well i hope i kill some ducks too, but we'll see, we dont like to talk about it remember :lol:

it looks to me like you might have to allow me to trade ya a duck hunt or 5 in exchange for letting me bow fish w/ ya when i move silverman:lol: one thing i CAN and DO hit is ducks:D you teach me to shoot fish better, ill teach ya to kill ducks better:D

Dont get it twisted duff, i can hit them ducks for sure! Chads just messin with me because the problem isnt with my shooting but getting me INTO the field! I usually spend too much time bowhunting and what not that i miss out on the ducks!! Last year because i switched departments i didnt go out duck hunting at ALL! that was a bummer, but i did manage to get some geese in sept. so that was cool.

If you want field ducks, that is all I do...give me a shout. Plus anyone who has the Wings on their signature is alright in my book :D!

Chad is a great guy to hook up with for ducks, and he's right, when it comes to waterfowl we usually only hunt fields.
