What, am I the first one home :) It was really nice to put a few faces to the names of those people on this board. There was a few I had hoped to meet but never saw them there. Oh well, maybe next time.

Seeing some of you has made me more excited about the people here and the future of this site.

Now, let see how much I spent while I was there :(

I'm happy I met some of you face to face today because it's so much easier to post to a person rather than a "handle" I got out of there with wallet intact and am looking forward to the deer and turkey spectacular next weekend in Lansing.

I hung out with Ruepstris (SP?). Unfortunately, I didn't have much chance to say hi to anybody else because I had my two sons pulling in a dozen different directions. Dang they were hard to keep up with! Bought a few things and window-shopped for a few more.

msiebers and I were glad to put some faces with names. We had a nice visit, and I picked up a few things.
Got to look at a lot of stuff, and had a good time.
We were a bit dissapointed that we didn't see more of you there. Maybe next time.

It was very nice meeting all that could make the trip. We had a good time there. I didn't take as many pics as I would of liked. It was kind of tough to get a group photo with everyone coming and going at different times and everyone doing a little browsing, but I did get one with a few of us near the end of the day. I didn't buy much either and thats a plus.
Here is a couple of pics...SnS

Great pic's!!! Wish we could have made it. :(
Had thoroughly intended to make it, but got tied up in the final preparations for my sons pinewood derby race. Sand, sand, sand ... paint, paint, paint. Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you next weekend in Lansing!

I really enjoyed meeting everybody and putting faces to the names on the site. Thanks sportsmaster for putting this together. For those that haven't been to cabellas yet, I attached a few pics of some of the mounts in the store.

well this sounds like a broken record: i had a great time and it was nice to put some faces with the handles. but hey it's the truth so. my wallet escaped virtually unscathed except for the 7 dollar elk sandwich for me bison for the wife and a venison brat for tj.oh then there was the dart system sporting clays i shot with tj and the wife bought a hat.... forget what i said about the wallet earlier :D but it was all worth it, to meet everyone who came!!! for all of you who didn't come i hope to meet you all soon and here's alittle warning for those who have yet to meet boehr, stay on the right side of the game laws in michigan he is a nice guy but he is a BIG MAN!in fact i would suggest we all start asking him questions with mr boehr, as my dad taught me when i was young men that big don't matter what there name is you call them whatever they wish to be called! :D and sportmaster and i think we have a way to lock up next years buck pole just need to touch up the photo's with a little red in adobe, i know it looks like the hanson buck but really it aint!

I'm really bummed that I didn't make it. The weather was calling for snow and sleet and freezing rain. Had those happened under way it would have been a very tense ride for Ruth. I chose not to hassel her with it. Looking forward to the summer outing. Did anyone ask Cabela's if they would be interested in providing some items for event prizes at the summer outing. If not, does anyone have a name of someone I might call to make the plea?

I was able to make it for only a couple of hours. It sure was good to meet some of the people that make this site what it is. I was thinking that at our summer outing we may be able to have some archery practice and if we were real lucky we might be able to get a shooting range. This way all of us could get together and shoot.
It was nice meeting the ones that I did and I'm sorry that I couldnt stay longer.
I just reread the post for the summer outing and it sounds as if others have the same idea. I hope that we are able to work out a place where we all can do some target practice.

Thanks for all the efforts that we're put into the outing. I just sorry I wasn't able to stay around. I recieved a call from work and had to leave.

Could someone please post the Final sign-up sheet. Just like to know who all ended up making it.

It was great to see all of your faces. I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer. In fact, I'm sorry I didn't use my time more wisely at cabellas. I spent most of my time shopping then it was time to go home. The most conversation I had was when you all made fun of my name (Deerless). Hopefully next time the outing will be somewhere that is not so distracting LOL. Thanks for putting it all together.
