I have seen a lot of fawns (singles) but I've not seen any twins so far this year.Just wondering what everybody else has been seeing for fawns this year.

I've been seeing just the opposite. I have only seen one single but several doubles. No triplets yet.

You know I was thinking the same thing when I was viewing old graybeards nursing mother picture. I have only seen a single set of twins thus far, and that was just Saturday morning after the storms and all the flooded farm fields out my way. Outside of that I've seen nothing but mothers out and about with just one fawn. Oh, and seeing a lot of small bucks

I had these same concerns last year at this same time, thought the sky was falling until later in the summer, when I realized that adequate doe harvest was resulting in increased fawn production.;):)
The fawns are there and the older does, that usually have twins and trips, do a better job of keeping them concealed until they're a bit bigger. Just my observations so don't ask for peer reviewed proof.

I don't usually start seeing fawns on my property till July. The does keep them well hidden till that time.

I wonder if with the cold weather and late start many farmers are getting if more fawns than normal are going to die when they are out disking, chisseling..ect....

Field prep is seldom a problem, no cover. However hay mowers are very hard on fawns and we usually loose quite a few when hay is mowed around Memorial day. This year that hasn't been a problem, most hay I've seen mowed so far came down within the last week, late because of the weather, which bodes well for the little ones. They're big enough to get out of the way...most of the time.

In my area, I am seeing moms without fawns still. Every evening like clockwork the does are on their own or in small groups of does in feeding areas. I have seen five single fawns so far. All were on their own in hiding and popped up. But only time will tell whether they have sibs because you practically have to step on one to get it to move:).

I watched a doe just a few days ago as she was tending to a single fawn then when she was done she crosses a field into another area where she stopped to see to her other fawn. Keep in mind at this time of year most does with twins will be keeping them seperated for awile.
