Hit an inland lake in Oakland Co. this morning. Started in the shallow flats, and took a few. Ended up finding them stacked in the canals in a spawning frenzy! Shot until our barrel was full. Would have kept going, but we had to deal with some moron antis, who were CRYING (seriously) because we were shooting fish! I about called the RAP line and filed an angler harassment claim, but decided to move on. It's a shame this had to cloud the morning. We could have shot 50 easily, but figured no carp action was worth getting in a fist fight over.
Anyways, biggest carp went 22 lbs. Also took a mirror carp. My gardens are happy right now!!!

Where did you shoot those, exactly? I thought that protesting frog-kissing dummies were more a west coast thing. If they are against the death of living organisms, they should never bathe as that kills little critters by the billions.

while you have them you might as well try some canned carp, and pickled carp. good recipes to be found on the internet and you might just be surprised to find a new taste treat.

I might just try that, as now all my flower beds and neighbors gardens are full.
Chris, I'll give you a shout next time! 3 grown men in a 12 ft rowboat shooting bows = a big mess!

Sounds like the encounter I had with an anti a couple years ago while out duck hunting. This lady decided to drive her boat into our decoy spread on the opening day of duck season and while she was yelling at us to stop shooting “her” ducks she broke down sobbing. I couldn’t help but laugh as I wrote down her MC numbers to give to the C.O. (for hunter harassment) that she said was supposedly on the way. I really can’t believe some people…anyways great shooting!
just tryin to fish
