I've been noticing a lot more guys in the past few years using cameras to record their hunts. Would it be possible to put a DVD of 09 hunts that MSers record, using their screen names to keep it affiliated with the site.
I am thinking that we could get enough guys involved to "donate" their computer and editing skills along with DVD's and other neccessities needed to make this happen. I was also thinking that we could pick an organization that donates some type of hunting experience to unfortunate Michigan hunters and provide them with the DVD sales (if we make one).
Just a thought...Stinky

Sounds like a good idea. Too bad I don't film my hunts. I do film alot during the late summer though. Got some nice bucks on film in velvet.

Sounds like a good plan, I have no DVD making capabilities but I would be willing to share some of my filmed hunts from this year. The part I like the most is donating the DVD sales to a hunting charity.

Remember that you can also upload videos in our photo gallery.
And upload them to youtube and imbed them here.
Lets say for instance you are sitting in a tree stand during the EAS and can't shoot a buck, and a nice 8 pointer taunts you for about 20 minutes at 20 yards. If you happened to have a video camera with you and wanted to film it, it might look something like this :)
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hb7cB8fSlWk&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hb7cB8fSlWk&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I could maybe provide a couple doe hunts that didn't make the show or dvd, I also have some footage from years back of some decent bucks that we killed and haven't been used for anything, if this moves forward at all, let me know. I think it is a neat idea, kind of similar to the philosophy of the company I work for. We all have full time jobs and hunt like everyone else (not ranches, guided...), the difference being we have a cameraman with us.

I am sure I could help.. Some folks will have to pitch in a little to purchase a used External Hard Drive to store all of the footage.. You will want to concentrate on getting about at least 10 Seconds of real good steady footage at a time or more if you can.. If it takes off we can pool ideas and list tips and can run with it.. We will need most likely about a 250GB hard drive-500gb depending on if you are filmin in HD or SD. 250 should cover it.. Just depends on how much footage we have to sift through.

I know we have some footage that hasn't been used elsewhere thats pretty good. Doe hunts, some turkey, I think even a buck from last year that didn't get sold.
