Anyone have any experience with this line of clothes. I am looking for now early season bow hunting bibs. If you have them, how light are they and how quiet are they? Thanks in advance

Why Climaflex? Scent-Lok is highly overrated and overpriced. There are scads of lightweight bibs on the market that are considerably less costly and just as effective. I have had great success with the Silent Weave products from Cabela's and the Silent Hide from Outdoor World.

Scent-lok may be a bit pricey, but it is definetly not overrated. I would not enter the woods without it and anyone serious about chasing mature deer shouldn't either.

This is a good clothing line. It is light enough for early season hunts and plenty quiet.

A bit pricey? I am serious about chasing mature deer, and have been doing so for 40 years, long before the Scent-Lok gimmick, yes gimmick, was introduced. We didn't need it back then and we don't need it now. So now with Scent-lok on the market, I guess I should just stay out of the woods?

It's not a gimmmick. It does work if used properly along with other scent control methods. It is not fool proof, it will not eliminate your scent and deer will still smell you even if you wear it. But it will HELP absorb some of your scent HELPING you smell less threatning. It will give you an edge. You still should hunt the wind.
You are right us hunters did not need it then and don't need it now. But if you can afford it and want to put in the time and care it takes to be as "scent free" as possible then carbon lined clothing is a must for the scent control fanatic. Their advertising for the clothing is just that an advertisement, a sales pitch. Just like all the beer commercials, how often have you been in the same settings as in those commercials drinking beer. Probably not many times, but beautiful women in bakinis drinking beer at a pool party looks like fun and is how they try to sell their product.

So as not to confuse anyone, I don't give a rip what camo or brand you hunt in. My point was, and still is, the scent-control stuff is overpriced and overrated, in my opinion only. I have hunted all my life and have taken my share of mature whitetail deer, both male and female, without the use of scent-control anything. It can be done and has been done for many years.

I actually have the scent lok savanna series bibs and jacket. I bought them in size XX this way I can layer up under them for colder weather. I wear them from early to late season. To me staying warm is all about layers. In colder weather due to having some long walks to stand locations I usually carry most of my clothing in my pack and finish getting dressed in the tree or about 100 yards away from the tree, depending on the situation. The one thing I was not impressed by was the buttons on the cargo pockets on the bibs. They have fallen off, for the price they charge I would of hoped for better quality buttons, but the outfit does serve its purpose for me besides that minor problem.
