my first gar

i got my first gar last night. ive missed a few before and even missed this one once before he came back a little while later lol. hes 33" and ive skinned him and im going to make an armguard out of it.

we were out catfishing (didnt catch any :() and i saw him hanging out when i was looking in the water for baitfish.

oh and i know i have soot on my face lol, stupid kerosene lantern

yeah id have to say its pretty custom since i built the bow and my dad built the reel lol.

the reel is a 10" aluminum ring with two wings to tape it to the bow. there a clip on one side that was made by taking a wire and wrapping it around a 1" rod of some sort 3 times to make a spring type deal that the line is pinched in between but pulls right out of when you shoot.

whats wrong with electrical tape? :) its better than duct tape, that leaves sticky crap on the bow.

the grip is actually bike innertube not electrical tape.
