FYI to anyone who may have mounts there-from Channel 9 and 10 News up here:
The owners of Burton Taxidermy in Cheboygan spent the day cleaning out freezers full of animal hides after police say someone disabled the power supply to the business.
Jim and Dawn Burton had been out of town for the past three weeks and noticed the power outage when they returned home this morning.
Police believe someone ripped off the electric meter and then broke into the business.
They say nothing is missing, but thousands of dollars worth of taxidermy was lost due to the power to the freezers being cut off.
Police are investigating at least three other break-ins similar to this one that happened on the other side of town within the past month.
If you have information on any of the recent break-ins, call police.
9&10's Christina Vecchioni and photojournalist Aaron Smith have more details on how much Burton lost.
