Can't post in for sale, what am I missing?

I looked all over for an explanation about posting in the for sale area. Is there a number of posts I have to make or something I have to do?

I think you have to be a member of this site for 30 days before you can post a classified.

There are two issues. Yes you have to be a member for thirty days before you can post an ad in the classified section. Unless you want to become a Sponsoring Member, then you can post immediately. Here's the information...

Second, you can't post in the "For Sale" forum. The ad must be placed in the Classifieds section. Once you place the ad there, a copy of it is placed in the For Sale forum. That is where questions can be asked/answered concerning the item.

I looked at the supporting member page but it doesn't say anything about adding the ability to post a classified. Might want to add it in there.

And I looked at the classified page but didn't see a click to post one. That's what led me here. there isn't a sticky anywhere that I could find that lists what can and can't be done for a new person. The rules are all hidden. Like the one that you have to have 15 posts before you can post a link. I tried to hotlink a fishing pic in my introductions post but it wouldn't let me.
