Need Myrtle Beach campground recommendation

We're thinking of spending Easter in Myrtle Beach, SC with a 25' travel trailer, and would like a recommendation on a campground. We need full hookups, and ideally would have ocean front sites.

We have relatives living in NC that go to Myrtle Beach often..... they recommend OCEAN LAKES FAMILY CAMPGROUND ... it's about 2 miles south of town (Rat Race - {whatever that means???} .) Can get you more info if interested.

Thanks, I found that one on the internet. Looks like a decent place. Myrtle Beach is a rat race for sure, but the beaches are nice. We would like to find a place north of town towards North Myrtle Beach, a little further from the crowds.

Kroppe, we were just in MB this past summer. IIRC, there were no campgrounds north of MB, even as far as NMB. There's a state park just south of town and the other around 2 miles south.

Thanks for the info. It looks like there are a few campgrounds, I think they are called "RV Parks" and didn't come up on my initial search. The two I am looking at are Apache Family Campground and Myrtle Beach RV Park. We will be staying in a travel trailer so need full hookups, which these places have. Also they are north of MB, south of NMB and are right on the beach.

have you checked north carolina? Maybe little river, calabash?
It's about a 15min drive into MB. less traffic still real close to town. If you must stay in MB the rv park has really nice facilitys
right on the beach ( Iknow becaue we built them about ten yrs ago) all the beach shops are within walking distance. if your taking the family there is a small carnival park on the south end of the beach , if not then get ready to party! spanish gallion (NMB chicks) purple gator SMB (good bands, seen thorogood, hootie,jackal, and chicks) House of blues MB (good music, chicks)
Crazy horse Thee doll house SMB (naked chicks;) :D :D ).
If you like seafood the best on the beach is a place called Benjimans. You will enjoy evrything but the traffic, you think metro is bad? pm me i will give you some info on outta way places.
