it looks like the dnr can discount any or all or no licenses now , plus waive any application fees will this ammended bill. it also can give hunting and fishing orgs discounts which promote hunting and fishing. the dnr also has to provide in less than 1 year the names of those orgs to legislature(that is if i read it correctly). they completely took out the 15% discount for 4 or more tags. but that doesn't mean they cannot give them anyway as it states it can give up to 15% on any and all. stay tuned for next years mistery prices:lol:
this has the potential of blowing up in their faces. discount one group and not another group or individual kinda sounds like PETA thinking on this one:dizzy:

I received the following email from our Representative in Lansing, Dan Scripps. Of course I emailed him back telling him that it wasn't I who saw the problem, but rather an MS member.

Milt,
Thank you for contacting me about Senate Bill 349. I agree that is not fair or acceptable to provide discounts to private club members. I have spoke to Rep. Sheltrown, Chair of the House Tourism, Outdoor Recreation and Natural Resources Committee, and he wholeheartedly agrees and has removed that provision from the bill. It was this version of the legislation - without any discounts for private organizations that would not be available for the general public - that passed the House with overwhelming bipartisan support on June 9th. You may also be interested to know that Rep. Sheltrown was very impressed that you caught this in the law and I believe the exact words were that you were very "astute" to catch this.

As always, thanks for protecting the sportsmen and women of this state from special interests in Lansing.

Dan
