Did they pass bill 5478 to evenually get a dove season? They do not have anything posted on the state web site set saying that it was passed or signed into law.

5478 never made it to the house floor to even be voted on. Therefore the bill dies on Dec. 31. Any move to initiate a dove season will have to start from square one with the new state legislature next year.

I have no idea what next year will bring. Both houses will have major changeover and we have a new Governor as well. It would be nice to see the MUCC or MDNR rally the troops to try to get this thing passed once and for all.

It won't happen untill we get a hunter in office who want's to make it happen.
