WOW, what service !

On Monday evening about 7:30 I dropped my order for a double pack of Slammers into the mailbox. I figured he would get them on Thursday due to the holiday. (I live in Rochester and the mailing address for the order was just in Ferndale) Then I figured he'd wait at least a week for the check to clear before he shipped them.

At about 9:30 this morning the doorbell rang. I wondered who the heck it could be. I went and opened the door. There was a nice gentleman standing there and he said "Hi, my name is Mike and I have a double slammer kit for you". I was shocked. I figured it would be coming via mail or UPS in a couple of weeks.
How cool ! I know what I'll be doing this weekend. :) I'm gonna get these buggers put together and see how well they work. I'll post my results and pics when I finish them.

The kit is basically the hardware you need to assemble the Slammer. It's just a few screws, a hinge, a ring, two flags, and a rod holder. He even included a couple of "pike rigs" too. (basically a wire leader with a treble hook and bead)

They look pretty easy to construct. I'm going to get busy later today and get them built. It comes with a sheet that gives you instructions on constructing the unit and a sheet with setup details.

John....sure his name wasn't Matt? Matt is the inventor of the slammer and is a fishing buddy of mine. You'll truly love fishing with those rigs! Nothing like some steel thru the ice!!

Good luck and let us know how they work!!

Yes Bud, they do work very good for steelhead through the ice. I have a couple my buddy built for me and it is a blast trying to get a 10 lber through a 10 inch hole!

I built 2 this summer but am missing some parts and was wondering if anybody knows where I might find some.
