Steve, just curious what part of the state you are from? I spell my last name BRANDEL and am originally from Illinois but moved to Mt. Pleasant area. I have family from Saginaw area as well. Just curious to see your last name, wonder if some shirt tail action there?

I live near Saginaw and have almost all of my life. There are Brandle's living in Saginaw that aren't related to me; so with the different spelling it's unlikely, but not impossible, that we're related. My grandfather was from Hungary (sp?) (when there was one) and his ancestors all came from there.

Basically, I'm a mixture of 1/4 Hungarian, 1/4 Scotch, 1/8 Belgian, 1/8 English, and 1/4 German-Russian. Just an American mutt, like most of us. :)

Same here! Russian-German, Scottish, English, and a little polish (I think). I have a good friend from Mt. Pleasant that spells his name BrandELL. No relation, although his father and my Grandfather could be twins. Kind of weird, but don't meet too many people w/ same last name.
