yup.
If that is what shoots good in your rifle, go with it.
If you are starting from scratch and picking a new load, I personally would step up to the 160gr for a 7mm.

Yes, it'll kill them. I've used a 280 Remington and a 300 Win Mag on bears, and both did the job. The only problem I've seen is that they just don't bleed, regardless of the caliber one uses. I've double-lunged them, heart shot them, spine shot them and head shot them. Anything that didn't drop them instantly led to an unnerving tracking job.
From now on, I'll use a 12 gauge slug, although a friend of mine used one 2 seasons ago, and the stupid bear still didn't leave a blood trail. All I found was a chunk of fat and one spot of blood at the spot he shot it. There is just so much fat and hair there to plug the hole.

I use a .454 handgun with hornandy controlled expansion rounds. Shaot him in the chest. He went 15 feet! No heart or lungs left.

Im looking at getting into bear hunting. I went a few years ago and had no idea what I was doing and of corse can up empty handed. I am curently shooting a 30-06. I was wondering if I was to load a 200gr Barns or Hornady GMX if this would be to heavy or not.

Shot placement is key here. That size ullet should kill it. Good luck hunting.
