Rabbit left whole
marinade in favorite marinade for 24 hrs.
I like Italian dressing
Use a turkey deep fryer and heat oil to 350 degrees
put rabbit in oil for 5 to 7 minutes depending on size.
I normaly do 2 or 3 at a time and use a piece of stainless wire threaded through the rabbits to drop the rabbit in the oil and remove it.

It sounds like the Turkey Fryer's can be used for a lot of other types of game meat.

That sounds like a great idea. I can't believe that I never thought of using my deep fryer for rabbits.

Have you ever used a "chicken rub" on the rabbits before dunking them in the deep frier? That is what I usually use on my turkey or chicken before deep frying them. It adds a lot of great flavor.

Great, now I am hungry!

rabbit whacker,

I have never used a deep fryer, but have cook a lot of rabbit. Although rabbit and chicken do have different flavors, any seasoning that works on one will work on the other. Since you are using a rub, I would start with half the amount you use on chicken and experiment.
