Lake Macatawa in Holland

I need some answers.
I was told that today was the last day I can go bowfishing on Lake Macatawa in Holland.There are some streams and creeks that go into the deep weeds and stuff that DO NOT have any trout in them.
Is it still okay to go bowfishing on those streams as long as im not in the open waters?Please help, I really don't want to quit already...

I'd call the local DNR for clarification before you go out. I'd hate to take a guess and give you bad information.
