That chain of lakes gets alot of fishing traffic, but there are plenty of fish. Troll along the dropoffs casting and you should do well. I use to have lots of luck in many areas. The nice thing about Woodburn lake is that it is a " no high speed boating" lake, so there should not be any waverunners and speed boats running around creating waves. Good Luck

I am looking for a place to take my boys fishing off the shore. We ave been trying lime lake with no luck, they are getting to the point where i am afraid that they are not going to like fishing, Any recommendations of where to go? thank you in advance

There is a pier/dock at Bruin Lake that you can fish from shore. It is located at the campground on the north/west shore line, also there is the state park beach at Halfmoon lake where you can fish from shore. There is a boat launch on Hiland Lake on the east side of Glenbrook road about a 1/2 mile south of Patterson Lake Rd. But there are alot of trees and bushes along that shore line and it would be difficult to fish from shore there.
I can't think of anyother public land on that chain where you can fish from shore.
