Sage Lake - Ogemaw County

My parents have place on Sage lake and talked with a friend who lives there all year yesterday on x-mas day. He said there is 10 inches of ice on the lake. Can anyone confirm or deny this. Thinking about going over New Years.:confused:

Haven't been there in YEARS. When I was just a kid, my aunt had a freind from high school that owned a little campground/cabin rental resort on Sage lake. Used to go there every summer for a while. It was great.

have been going there myself for about 32 years. Great grandparents originally built a cottage there in about 1924. My family has been going there ever since. There is a couple of campgrounds on the lake. There was Driftwood resort, Eupers Resort, Kenyons Resort, and then there was another smaller one, cannot think of the name of it right now. Still enjoy going there. Great pike lake, a lot of smaller ones though. Actually come to think of it, many nice size largemouths in that lake too. Haven't seen any good size bluegills or perch since I was a kid though.
