there's O's baitshop in downtown rockford, otherwise the rustic in howard city or hilltop sports near greenville. There's also sparta sport shop, which i've never been to, so i don't know what they have.

Last I knew Lime lake was a hard nut to crack, its loaded with trout, and the bass that live there seem to have lockjaw, prolly feed exclusivly on stocker trout!
My Brother used to get some FINE gills out of it, and talked alot about the trout surfacing, never did catch 1 or if he did he never said so!

Gotta QUIT fishin' 'em like Bass Carl!
If you pull small spinners or micro cranks you can get 'em before they go deep with the temps.
The bass like to suspend due to the fast breaks , just bass fish it like Hardy & you'll do ok.

Hucks Corners Party Store on the corner of 17Mile and Algoma has Worms,Crawlers and Waxworms and is by far the closest place to Lime Lake buy live bait.
The B&H Sport Shop on N. Main Street in Cedar Springs is the next closest.

They should change Limes name to Skunk Lake. If anyone does venture out let me know how you do, or how you did it. The lake is near me but I've never done worth a darn.

Hucks corner store is closest.
For bass, topwater around lilley pads.
For trout during the day, troll w/cow bell set ups or small inline spinners- add a inline weight or some lead to get down to where your marking them on your graph.
For trout at night, Hang a lantern over the side of your boat or a underwater light or any light source. Chum with corn to keep them in your area. Use corn/wigglers/waxies/worms/ and Power bait nuggets. Drop it straight down the side of your boat close to your light source.
I think this lake is best fished at night.

Fish the trout with the lantern and corn gig at night. I know a Cornstalk Park resident who has done it with success several times, if you like the "muddy tasting fish" from there as he puts it. He resorted to C & R after trying them the first time.

For bass, a buddy of mine has 2 - 5+ pounders mounted from there that hit a simple crawler on a hook and a real small splitshot 15 inches or so above that he would cast at the steep drop-offs and let fall down into the depths. Those are some real nice bass he has mounted.
He claims there are "some" good sized gills in there too.....hope that helps.

Have never fished it in the summer, no boat yet. Have done decent in the winter on gills bass and pike. Seen some nice perch taken. Have yet to get a trout out of it.

I fished Lime Lake twice last summer. The first time out I caught quite a few bluegills but most were under 7" and I did hook one bullhead. I was fishing straight out from the boat launch in around 15 fow with just worms. The second time I went out it was horrible I only caught a few fish in total.

I went out a couple weeks ago with my 2 yr old for grins. I didn't have any live bait so I was throwing senkos to see if there were any bass. caught a limit in less than hour and all were right around 2.5 - 3 lbs. kind of fun for just trying to get out of the house...
