Hey,
New member, long time reader.
So heres my background, been fishing for awhile. Used to fish up in Jackson (stony lake area) and around albion (where i go to school). I am used to places such as duck lake, etc. Now i am home for the summer (ann arbor) and am having difficulty finding suitable spots for fishing. I live right by barton dam but havent had any luck there or at delhi/hudson mills. Does anyone have any suggestions? maybe some inland public lakes?
I will take any help !
- Jon
P.s Not looking for any specific fish, its all about the rush in my opinion.

There dozens of lakes in the Iris Hills or Hillsdale Coldwater area. In Lenawee County Devils is likely the best, or you could try Sand Lake.
I will be driving right by the Huron River in a couple monthes and thought about fishing there in the park. What kind of fish have you gone after there and caught if any?

Below the dam and in the skinny parts of the river, throw Rebel crawfish crankbaits and you'll kill the smallies.
Four Mile / South / Joslin / Portage are all near ya and hold numerous types of fish.

This winter i actually hit a 32 inch carp right off the shore with a small lil grub. Applying for master angler with that haha. When i was a kid i used to pull like 20 small yellow bellies / blue gills out with worms but now am looking for more of a challenge. I'm thinking of trying the catfish game today. Seems like a prefect time for it. I'll come back with results
