Tips for Gull lake?

I'm going to be fishing Gull lake this next week and my buddy said it is a hard lake to fish, you guys have any suggestions for lures to bring with me? Thanks.

never fished it so no help here, what kind of fish are you going after

Mostly bass, but we heard they are hard to catch because it is so clear.

Well the bass are probably pre-spawn on that lake as the water takes longer to heat up due to the depth of the lake. I would suggest cranks on the deep breaks and maybe drop shotting the breaks. If the fish are shallow I have had luck in the weed-beds with Senkos rigged wacky style.
