Can anyone tell me if it is against the law to use infa red and night vision scopes to hunt with?

Heck I use them taped to my fully automatic m-16 every year dude...you know whats better though? Get your self a grenade launcher option to go on the end...that with my laser sight and silencer is the cats meow!!!Go get one before the sales over at Dicks man!

I could be funny and cute, but I will refrain from it this time...I would have to believe, based on the fact that hunting after dark is ILLEGAL (with few exceptions) that using a night vision device would not be legal...

If you really are five-0, why wouldnt you just look it up in MCL?
Just kidding copper, I believe you could use it for coyotes at night.

I tried to find something about it in the MCl comosite book but there was nothing in it. I understand that hunting after dark is illegal but you can shoot something .5 hours before sunrise.

Got a pair for christmas to use at work but didnt want to take them out in the woods if it was illegal.

I do not think this would be illegal. The only legal issue surrounding these would be the shooting hours laws, and you already mentioned that you were aware of those. I will do a search of the regs.
