Curtis Area Bass Fishing

Went up to the Curtis area for Memorial Day weekend and do a bit of fishing with the family. Couldn't of asked for a better time landing these. The wife once again showed me and my daughter how its done. We ended up with 10 Smallies with an ave of 19 in. Smallest was 17in. All returned to catch next year.

Nice fish, we have been up there and done fairly well on the walleye around this time of year too, Did you stop at the pizza stop for one of the best pizza`s around??? :evil: Mike

We didn't get a chance to stop to get a pizza but have had it and thought it was good. :) Where is the next "closest" pizza place Marquette ? :lol: We were debating if we were going to get into the walleye tourny they had going, but went for the bass insted. We've been staying up there and fishing for the last 10 years. South lake is our favorite lake to fish.

Newberry the "Pizza Place" they put garlic butter and sesame seeds on the crust, very, very good :evil: :lol: We are in Da U.P. alot and love pizza. Mike

Due to pay cuts at work I have to cancel my fishing trip to Curtis this year. :mad:

We usually go twice a year. We are going to have to sock away money starting now if we want to do our August trip. Money isn't flowing in like it use to. Thats a week long trip, it gives us more time to relax an do site seeing.

Beautiful Smallies! Great Job! I've fished that lake every August for the last 5 years. It's a place I look forward to fishing every summer. Now that I know about this pizza place, I'm getting giddy already.

Beautiful smallies! My wife and I were up there over Memorial weekend as well. Wasted allot of time looking for walleyes and finally gave up and had fun with largemouth but I never seem to get into the smallies. I'd love to get my wife and son into some. They'd never be the same. Nice pictures, thanks for sharing!
