I have a 14 ft John boat and 6 horse motor I like to fish out of. I love to fish but don't enjoy the jet skis, speed boaters, over crowding and other stuff that seems to come with weekends on most lakes. I like to target pike and bass, however enjoy panfish once in awhile as well.

Does anybody have any suggestions of no-wake lakes to try out in the west michigan area? Is there a list of no-wake lakes anywhere out there?

Thanks,

Dan

many lakes are "no high speed boating" or "no wake" in the morning and evening hours.

Many DNR lakes are No-wake. It might cost you $6 to get in but they usually have nice launchs and parking areas. Sessions lake in Ionia comes to mind for one. Check out the "DNR" site for a listing of all their lakes.
I hate jet skiers too:mad: Hope this helps

:yeahthat: There are tons of great little lakes that have all the species you are looking for, it will cost you $6.00 to access all of the lakes in the park and you will have to deal with dirt ramps on most. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I've seen many of those lakes around Gun Lake and fished many as well. I cought my biggest bass when I was a kid out of Hall Lake.

I was looking to find some lakes between Grand Rapids and Nunica to be more specific. Dirt launches aren't a problem. I really just want to avoid the crowds and catch some fish.

Again, thanks for all help so far.

check the lakes in the state game areas around langston, stanton and greenville - they are all dirt ramps and i doubt you will see too many speed demons out there.
