There is a nice launch on Hockaday Rd. I beleive it is Buttman Twp. It is on the east end of the lake, and just south of Sugar River Rd. Hockaday intersects 61.

My family has property there, but I have only been up there once to fish. There is 2 lakes, Lancer and Lancelot. They are connected (one feeds the other) but you cannot take a boat directly from one to the other. The water levels are different. I am not aware of any public boat launches (not saying there are or arent), we used a private launch which you need an access code or gate key- I dont remember. Lots of pike and bass. Sorry I cant be of more help.

GREAT LAKE! My dad and I used to fish it all the time when i was growing up. We would troll spinners and get pike all the time. The boat launch at Butman TWP. hall is the only "public" launch on the lake and you have to pay to launch (not sure of the cost anymore). There are pike, walleye, large mouths, and other smaller species. I believe there are 4 named lakes, and they call connect. To get there, take M-30 north from M-61, go to Richie Rd (store on the corner called The Rivers Market), turn left, go to the next stop sign, turn right, you are now on Hockaday Rd, take that north the township hall, the launch is right behind the hall/dpw building. good luck!

The only public launch is off Hockaday. Last I checked, it was $6 to park and launch for the day. I think you can get passes for the season too. I have never done it since we are on the lake and use one of the private launches.

Lots of largemouth and pike. The pike run on the small side, they have a reg in place to keep five with no minimum size limit to try to address that. Amazing bluegill and crappie fishing too. I have never caught a walleye in the 4 years I have been on it, but they are rumored to be in there.

Lancer is a 750 acre lake with the public launch. Lancelot is the 250 acre adjacent lake, but you cannot get on it, private only. Max depth is about 35 ft, but the majority of the lake is 6-10 feet deep. Soft bottom, very weedy. Most of my luck has been with trolling harnesses and crankbaits.

Good luck!
