Guys wonder about GULP and is it any good. Read the following from the tournament (AIM formerly the PWT) out of Bay City this weekend. All the leaders are using it.

I just want my free Gulp tackle bag to get here, anyone get theirs yet?

I love the new cocktail of smelly goodness in the Alive containers, I drop my jigs in there, fireline still attached, and motor to the next spot. Pull them smelly babies out and keep catchin.

I have used it quite a bit, and its nothing to write home about. It is nice if you get into a school and need to get your rig back down quick. The plus side is that for the most part, it is also reusable, as long as it goes back in the bag.

If there is anything that I didnt cover, I will answer any questions.

I use the small grub gulp on my jigs and twister tails. Keeps them from short striking.

Mike, How did the Gulp work for you, when you fished Saginaw Bay last year?

Can't remember that far back Frank. I do know I used crawlers more than down here in LSC. You guys don't seem to have the problem of little perch biting off the crawlers (at least out in 30 FOW where we were). I know I caught more on crawlers but then I had crawlers on more rods than GULP.

I have caught a quite a few Saginaw Bay walleye on Gulp. I always have some on the boat. I have given it a shot but can't seem to make it out fish the real deal.:) A couple of times I had a 50/50 spread of Gulp and crawlers. The real thing out fished the Gulp about 2 to one. Of course I didn't run it the entire trip. Like always, "Find out what they want, and give em lots of it". :)
