I hit a local lake yesterday from 8am to 11am caught 15, 13keeper size and 3 good ones over 4lbs, all catch and release. drifting with nite crawlers on the bottom in 10-15 ft.of water.

That's a loaded question, with certainly no sure answer. lol
However, generally if you fish a wacky worm in calm conditions, or a spinnerbait in windy cloudy conditions. You should catch plenty.
Good luck, and tight lines

Senko worms or something like that should put fish in the boat.

I get a lot of 'em on rattling lipless lures (Rat-L-Traps and such) and Rebel Crawfish. Might be hitting some topwaters, too. :D:fish:

Today with the strong east winds I'd say they are not biteing on much. At least that's the reports I've been getting this afternoon.

Whats the old saying, wind from the west fish bite best, wind from the north fishermen venture forth, wind from the south....
I dunno, but he BIG one wind from the EAST FISH BITE THE LEAST!
How much truth is in that I dunno but I tend to agree, east wind SUCKS!

Wind from the north fishermen don't go forth... Wind from the south blows the bait into the fishes mouth... East Least, West Best

My use of plastisol is limited until fish settle into summer patterns...right now I find fishing faster & covering water w/ spinnerbaits, crankbaits, jerkbaits, & swimbaits (love the hollows;)) & such scores at least even in terms of numbers (as opposed to wacky/drop/texas plastisol gigs) and well better in terms of size.

Had to switch it up 4 times throughout the day the last time I was out. Jigworms, tubes, craws and flukes. Deadstick, swim, hop, jiggle, etc. All worked for a while, then changed and started back up ........

I live by the rule of the wind but for some reason the bite was on fire yesterday with the east wind and caught some aggressive bass and pike along with some big gills. Jointed rapala and roadrunners seemed to work fine.

I caught a couple bass on monday but I could use some coaching on types of lures and methods.
What weight jig heads to you use and are their favorite colors? Also what color are the most effective tube baits?
Same questions for the roadrunners.
One last question, do you guys use the spiderwire type line or mono?
Thanks for the help. :help::)

Have jig weights of all sizes, to be ready for different conditions, but I pitch 1/2z jigs the most. I've found browns & greens work well. Different jig styles match different fishing situations.
I MUCH prefer superlines over mono for just about everything, less floating raps, daredevle-type spoons, & catfish.
Burned spinnerbaits. Slow Rolled Spinnerbaits, Paused and dropped spinnerbaits, straight retrieved spinnerbaits.
If that fails, try a spinnerbait. ;)

Until the water warms up a tad more jigs may be your best bet or shallow diving cranks with a slow retrieve. If those dont work, rooster tail!
