Where is the best bass fishing in the Lansing area?

I have a 12ft aluminum boat with motor and I want to get some solid use out of it this year. Where should I got in the greater Lansing area for bass? I don't need to get huge ones but I would like to be in the fish...and keep busy...not waste a day only fishing and no catching like I did on Austin Lake in Portage this past Saturday.

I would try Pine Lake down by Olivet. I fished it a lot during college and always did real well. The whole lake has potential but the south end always seemed to put some nice bass in the boat. I caught one that went 6lbs on a fly rod one time.

I am not sure about access anymore though. There used to be a store that would charge a couple bucks to launch but the last time by there was some high dollar houses where the store was. It would be worth a check to see if you could find access.
