DNR wildlife survey in the mail ?

I just received a DNR wildlife survey in the mail. It pertains to my success or lack of during all deer hunting seasons (Bow, Firearms,and Muzzeloader). Just curious if any others on this site have received one yet?

None here yet! Of course, I haven't seen one in 25 years of Michigan deer hunting, so why would this year be different?? Be thankful you got one, and take pride in filling it out.

I received one today. I noticed that they don't have a place for comments. Oh well there are lots of margins to write on.

Bought my first deer tag 30 years ago, and I'm still awaiting my first survey.

Does anyone know if "surveyees" are selected on a purely random basis, or are there judgemental factors involved? As I recall, about 45,000 hunters are surveyed each year. Assuming that's the case, a deer hunter could expect to be surveyed once every 18 years.

I believe this is about the sixth one I have received in 36 years of hunting. I am sure it's strictly random but I do fill them out and send them back ASAP.

Received one over the weekend. Will be filling it out and mailing it in today. I'll be using the margin area as well to state my feelings about this years herd.:( :mad:

IN my 26 years of deer hunting I have never recieved one. Always thought they were kind of a myth as no one I have ever hunted with has recieved one either. It is good to hear that they actually mail them out :)
