I'm going to try fishing LSC for Walleye this year and have read here about the 400 Club tower. Can someone post or PM me a couple of good spots to start out? Not asking for anyone's honey holes :) just general area/depth. Thanks in advance.

No secret recipe...it all depends. Gotta make moves until you find the fish. Sometimes their in tight, 6-7 FOW, sometimes they are out in deeper water, 14 FOW. Sometimes in between.
Wind and crowds permitting, I usually zig zag in and out of various depths to try and find where they are.
I've also had a lot of luck trolling the mud line that comes out of the spillway where the water is a little stained.

Thanks radiohead. Is it safe to say if I put in at Crocker and work my way up to Metro and back down to 400 Club in and out that I'll be doing the right thing?

I was out on Friday and only picked up two by Metro in about 10'. For what it's worth radio chatter made it sound like 12-14' by the 400 was picking up about the time I had to head in. That place will be a zoo the next couple of days. If you plan to head out I would be there by 5:45am or a little earlier. Like RH said, you just have to move around a lot and don't be afraid to get away from the pack. We had a couple of our best days out there last year and there was nobody around to see the net going in the water:D. I plan to stick to the river until next week.

I would try halfway from the spillway and the 400 and work down to Memorial park, until you hit them, then start your pattern. I would start out fairly close early in the morning and start working out as the day progresses. Personally, I never really cared for metro except at night.

Ever had a problem with the drunk lunatics running around the lake after dark while out there? It seems a little dicey, safety wise.

i just about got taken out saturday night on the river guy came so close i took the splash over the bow then his rollers too...i just bought a flare gun yesterday next time they get the spotlight if they are still bearing down on me the get the flare gun shot at them....scared the chit out of my son and we left...its b.s that they can put someone life in danger because they were "entertaining" guest on the back of their boat

I would take that type of a manuever as a deadly threat on my life and would answer with a just course of action! I'd rather diminish the perceived threat and take my chances.
P.S. It would not be a flare gun!
