Holy crap is that a smallmouth you painted to look like a perch?!

The perch just crossed the 13.5" mark...damn! If it would have went 14" I'd be getting it mounted for sure, but at 13.5" I just dunno. Still, it's the biggest perch I've ever caught.

Did you keep it? 1lb 13oz is minimum weight entry for catch and keep master angler

Oh yeah, it got put in the tank right quick!

I'm on my way to the grocery store today & I'll get it weighed, but the inches usually accurately correlate w/ the weight. That half-inch I'm short prob will mean it comes in under the 1#13z mark.

Either way it will taste good, or look good on the wall (& not set me back too much;))

We must have missed each other by a few minutes, tho I did see a boat i wondered if it may be you, never looked, the wind was still heavy when I left, faught it all day tryin to find places to fish that were protected!
I hammered Smallies all afternoon, at least 4 over 20" and 2 that were in the 21+ class, my best 5 rough guess prolly 17+lb. bag tho I did have a 19" largie too and I dont care what anyone says, theres alot of Hammer Handle pike in CROTON, I smashed 10 of them yesterday, and finnaly 1 of them took my Lipless! Bastards! lol

Great fish, Brandon! So this time you were fishing for bass and got ... bass. :fish: And a monster perch as a bonus. Well, all right!

I take it from bassdisaster's post that was Croton?

If you want a mount, why not eat it and get a replica? I've heard the cost of a replica is about the same as a skin mount...

I like your style.. With Perch or another panfish anyway. Too good to pass up eating those right out of the water. A pike or Bass would be another story.

Nice fish by the way!
