First time out on the St. Clair river after 5 pretty successful trips down to Detroit, so I had high hopes. Launched out of Marine City around 6:30, looked toward algonac, and noticed a whole line of boats leading all the way to the park. Started out jigging with no success. By 7:15, we switched over to harnesses. Ended up with two. Both were caught on hammered silver with red beads. The wind began to howl straight up river around 11, so we decided to call it a day. Made one quick trip up past Marine City, saw a few boats, but from what I heard at the launch, nobody was slamming 'em. Two fish was about the average catch

Talked to a few boats out of Marysville and PH at lunch, sounds like you did as well as most.

darn South wind needs to knock it off.

I also hit the river this morning out of st. Clair. We ended with 14 and lost maybe 5 on the way to the boat between 3 fisherman. We pulled harnesses above and below pine. Chrome, white and chartreuse colored blades all red beads. The fish are there you just got to work hard for them. See ya on the river.

I thought that was him. Tell him I apologize for not stopping to see how he was doing. He was right with us. Those fish were a little tricky in that spot today. Same hole as tuesday they just weren't that convincing. The bite got better as the wind picked up.

Windy walleyes and harnesses are key,but boat controll most important drifting or jigging.all depends on wich boat ur fishn from.:coolgleam
