not sure where to put this...but did I miss the carp spawn?

I have been trying to find the carp...but so far I havent noticed any spawning in Lake Macatawa in Holland. Did I miss the spawn?The DNR told me I could bowfish that lake until May 31..What will I do if they don't start until after that?

Fished out of Grand Haven on Sunday. On way back in, carp were flopping all over the place from Snug Harbor to Chinook Pier. So I would say that timing should be good.
