Kent Lake (Oakland County) Questions

I haven't fished Kent yet this year but a good place to start for bass would be on the south part of the lake that goes under I-96. Fish the north shore of that section along the freeway. For walleye try straight out from the East launch going towards the I-96 bridge in 9 -10 fow. Look for the little humps on your depth finder & fish those humps & you'll either get walleye or crappie.

boat or shore? for walleye off of shore you might try up by buno rd where she necks down good..bass you can get all over the place..pike are best off the west launch area

I like the Gary yomamoto creatures, carolina rigged with a real small bullet weight. drug across the bottom or just above.

Slow day on Kent. Appx 8 hour day; 5 bass, all Largemouth, lots of panfish including several VERY nice Crappie. Lots of pike seen.

was out yesterday afternoon 3 hrs got 18 lg mouth on a brown tube and one was a 5lb nice bass also got two:coolgleam nice smallies under the bridge in beds on blue booyaa clacker jig

Fished it last Sunday, and it was a little slow. Picked out probably 12 largemouth for the day. Biggest about 3 lbs. We did best on the north end of the lake in the backwaters. Did catch one on the south shore under 96. Extremely windy with lots of small boat (canoe style) races going on.

1st time on Kent Lake! Went sunday on shore and got nothing except for one walleye. Fished turtle island and south of the lake along 96 and hooked a walleye at the SE boardwalk. Saw few bass and some barely legal size only. Where are all the bass?!
