I was out in front of Geno's yesterday and saw a boat swamped. There were no people around and by the time I was left, the the Coast Guard and a salvage boat showed up. Anyone know "the rest of the story"?

That is a scary pick. I'm really glad I didn't go out this weekend. I just hope everyone is ok. You can replace a boat, but not a life.

I know part of the rest of the story if those boys didn't have Boat U.S. tow insurance, lol.

Seems to be alot of that happening this year.

Should never happen if all safety measures and boat inspections are taken...

Cool pics. I watched St. Clair Marine Salvage tow that boat into my marina and then the CG dropped off the fishermen. I took a quick run out on the lake around 6:00 and it was rough. They had no business being out there in that boat in those seas.:dizzy:

Hay ed it reminds me of the old days, in harisville those guys made it right we did with no rescue in a way smaller boat with way heavier fish.:coolgleam

The boat did not sink. That is pretty cool. I wonder if the boat would have still floated upright with the guys in it waiting for help? Glad to hear eveyone was ok.

Glad they're okay too, but this is the bottom line...not enough boat. Guys get reckless, thinking their boat is unsinkable. Even the Titanic will sink in the right conditions. It would be different if this were July, and the water was 60-70 degrees. But this early? NOT!
