Big Island Wilderness Area?

I am planning a trip up at the end of June. A few buddies and I, any info? We don't mind a little work to get into some good fishing. It is one of my buddies last trips before he goes to Iraq, we want to send him off right. Any help would great thanks in advance.

Nice place for canoe/kayack with short portages between lakes and decent fishing. We used to hit it once a year and had good luck with pike and some muskies along with bass. Small lakes is the only downside if you want bigger canoe/kayak water, but it is much closer than Boundry Waters or Quetico Parks. I go there once every few years now and it is still nice, but we spend our annual trip in the Quetico now. There are a couple of other nice non motorized parks further west - if you are interested PM me.
