SUX! :irked:

I've been a subscriber since 1987 and have been watching its' slow death every since the Lindners sold it to Primedia. Now it's STAPLED together...which makes it not even a 'real', magazine IMO...it doesn't have the same feel...feels CHEAP. It's even MORE patheticaly smaller (and subsequently worthless) & UN~in-depth than usual. I'm bummed & feel let down, I sent an email to In-Fish voicing my disappointment.

I agree. I have subscribed since the mid-90's, and it is not what it used to be. Not as much diversity in articles (same techniques over and over), not as in depth, etc. But, it still is my favorite fishing magazine. Have your found a replacement?

No replacement yet...not planning on cx'ing the script yet. But I'll be focusing alot more on science journals.

This month's mag stripped away the false sense of security I've fooled myself into believing....seeing the staples & feeling the (lack of) weight today has forced forced me to finally admit that it's already gone.

Gone is the objectivity, the level of science, the truly vanguard; nowadays they often just regurgitate things I read Al, Ron, Dan, Dave, & crew write about (for the first time) a decade or more ago.

You got any suggestions? :chillin:

I feel the same way, and now I'm stuck with In-Fish now that Walleye-in-sider is done (they're finnishing out the subscriptions with in-fish). Have been picking up the FLW - Walleye Edition (bi-monthly) magazine, pretty darn good - the Linder crew has an article every edition :fish:. C-man

I was a sunscriber since '79 or '80. I let my last sunscription lapse five years ago. I have picked up a newsstand copy here and there, but it sure isn't what it used to be.

Nope...not unless Buck Perry's back from the dead!

I stopped subscribing to FishingFacts back in the 90's for the same reason In-Fish is pissing me of now.

Maybe it's not them it's you, you've gained so much knowledge that there is nothing you don't already know.

No, for pike and musky, Esox Angler is pretty good, but I mostly fish bass.

What Journals are you reading? When I was in college for fisheries, I liked to read the Journals (Can. J. Fish, Trans. Amer. Fish, etc) but to subscribe to those is pretty expensive for those, since I am not in that field of work and do not have access anymore.

esox angler is pretty good, they even have some walleye stuff in there too...

walleye insider was ok, then went too commercial, and i believe they are now defunct, but i could be wrong, as my sub ran out a long while ago.

I used to get em all and due to budget cuts I was forced to slim it down to 4-5

MUCC got canned
Feild and Strem was close but they came back from the dead and got 1 year on probation.

I really enjoy Michigan outdoors, Michigan sportsman(newspaper) are my 2 tops on my list.

I just got the latest In-fish today and I thought it was a Walleye Insider when I grabbed it. The thing is so small this month that I think it can't be that far behind Walleye Insider and is also on it's way to extinction. I stopped my W-I subscription a year or two ago and I think I'll be doing the same with I-F when it expires.

I recieved mine last Friday and thought the same "this is getting like the Walleye Insider." I started getting In-Fish in about 1982 or so and have been getting the In-sider since way back before it was a magazine. Used to be a little paper like Mid West Outdoors magazine. Sad to see such great publications go down. At least the Linders are doing alot with FWL Outdoors magazine now. I didn't hear that the In-Sider was done?
