Well, spent 2 days pounding them lakes and not much to show for it. Put one midget smallin in the boat and had a few fat , flat females take swipes at spinnerbaits , but that was it. Everything was still hanging in 20 fow at least off windy sides of points. Went down after them with C rigs and shaky heads but no soap. Water temps were 54 for bellaire and 57 for Clam lake. That was monday and tuesday the 12th and 13th.

heading up there the first week of June, hope things get hot by then. Sounds like the smallies are just beginning to stage. Did you try targeting eyes at all?
