Dose anybody here have one of the Garmin Rino's yet? I think I'm getting the 110 for Christmas.

Last time I checked they were still unavailable in the stores. That was a few weeks ago, maybe they finally came in. The guy at Bass Pro told me that after the intial advertising this summer Garmin made a large deal w/ US Gov't for the troops in Afganistan which screwed up shipments to retailers. How true this is is anyone's guess. Sure is an interesting product though, isn't it!

Well, the little woman is just to good to me. Not only did I get a Rino for Christmas, but I got the model 120. :D This thing is awsome. It might take a while to figure out how to use all the features though(I have 88 pages to read and learn) , but I can't wait. This thing is really Cooooooool.

Wolf,

Model 110= $170. Model 120= $250. Up to 50 users will show up on the Rino 120. It's probably the same for the 110.

P.S. It comes with a "Quick Start" guide that shows you how to get using the basic and most important features it right away. There is also a $15 video if you don't want to read the whole manual.

Thanks! That is reasonable, I thought they would be in the $500 range. Knowing exactly where the other hunters in your party are is definitley advantageous, our group will be buying a few before next season. Thanks again!

wolf,

I just noticed you are new to the site. I just wanted to say WELCOME!

P.S. Also, I have to say I am a little envious of you. It must be great to live where there is room to roam and find spots to yourself where the big boys live.:D

Hey DEERSLAYER let us know what you think about the 120 so far. I think I'm going to get the same model.

Robow,

I don't think I will get to use the topo maps or fishing hotsots maps anytime soon because they are $100 EACH (between deer season and christmas I will be in a "recovery" mode for a while). I was a little dissapointed that they cost so much and the fishing hot spots maps do not have a lot of the lakes I'm interested in so I may not even get that one. I haven't had the time to check out the base road map that comes with it yet.

Deerslayer- Make sure you give us a complete review and your opinion of the Rhino. I might have to sell my E-Map and step up to this one. It sure is packed w/ features and being able to eliminate one piece of equipment would be a welcome prospect.

The Nailer,

I can already tell you it is a really cool unit. I would not even hesitate to suggest that you get a Rino. It is VERY EASY to use (especially considering everything it has). I can't say yet if I would recomend the 120 over the 110 (because I don't have the Map Source software), but I think the 110 (@ $170) is a great deal for only $20 more than my Garmin 12 was. The only thing I could complain about is the "Click Stick" could be a little tricky to use with winter gloves on. The "Click Stick" is a little button you use to navigate around a page (which is set up kinda like "Windows" on your computer). You push it left, right, up, or down to move around the page and press it in to make your selection. However, I don't think it will be that big of a deal.

Hello this is my first message , I am an Infantry Sgt in the Army , former Marine in Germany, I just recieved a rino 530, price just over $400 got it on Amazon. This unit is awsome , you name it ,it does it , to include color screen. I started with the Garmin etrex, upgraded to the garmin legend and now the mother of them all :yikes: The Garmin rino 530 you'll love it.

Welcome to the site darrin and thanks for your service to our country. I own 2 120's and love them. If you are fishing inland and hunting you want the topo, it makes a huge difference.
