watched the game as well and to be honest... I don't mind it (Ove's celebrations)

personally, I think he's what the league needs and especially that sleepy town of Washington. He gets everyone charged up there!

I love it! it's just pure elation!

want to start a debate with me, let's talk about Sid IS a Kid. You can see the pain in his face when he has to talk about anyone else but himself. it KILLS him to be humble or to recognize anyone else but his own greatness. he's such a weenie and a whiner.

I love this match up so far. and that goalie is out of his mind! the safe on crosby was great, but the one right after was even better from the point.

the boy's good!

when ever I see that PSA that is critical of the 3 teenage boys using the term "that's so gay" and the black woman says something to the effect of calling something like a teenage boy with a cheesey mustache I think of cindy trying to grow his playoff "beard" hell he makes huds look like Z.:lol::lol:

I like the celebration.. I think Alex the Great is doing good things for hockey, but more importantly he's doing good things for EURO hockey players! I see the latter being a bigger deal.

Anyone catch him during an interview when he was asked about Don Cherry's comments? I love it. He's confident

On a sadder note, Poor Cindy asked the refs last night to make an announcment to ask the fans to stop throwing hats on the ice...

It just never ends with that pu**y

You know what I don't mind the celebration right now. 1 it is playoffs, everyone is having huge emotions. 2 correct me if I am wrong but I think this is the capitals are farther in the playoffs then since picking up numer 8. 3 hat trick in the playoffs need I say more other then sorry Sid. He has a huge passion for the game and he likes to show it. That was a great game though both Sid and Alex getting hat tricks. Dance all you want Alex, if you meet the wings in the finals again you will dance no more.

just read the washington article Jig posted up.

I guess I rest my case; what a weenie! :p

he has the potential to be one of the great spokesman for the game and instead... he comes off as a spoiled, lil cry baby. :gaga:

If I was on an opposing team, all his little celebrations would do is make me want to knock his head off even more. As a fan, let him celebrate, it just makes me lose respect for him. I have a lot more respect for a guy like Lids who can hit a huge goal and go over and recognize his teammates for their help. That says a lot about character. Its not all about 'big spotlight on me.'

Yeah,, this is how I'm starting to feel as well.. The skating as fast as he can and then slamming into the glass,, please.. IMO,, I think Ovechkin is just doing it on purpose now,,, just to piss off Crosby and Cherry(and me).
He's doing a pretty good job of it,, anyway.

You know a few days ago I really didn't care. I am mean I seen other guys do it but I didn't realize how often he does it. I remember Darren McCarty doing it against the av's when he got his hat trick. If it is a big time event great but don't do it don't mean much. You just got the gameing winning goal in a intence sudden death game, game 7, and or you won the cup great. I had not seen much of him and Washington so I didn't realize how much he does it.
