Minnkota Erdua 30 Trolling Motor

Any body have any suggestions why my mortor only has two speeds out of 5. It seems like 1 -4 are the same amd 5 is the only one that goes faster..the same withthe 3 reverse speeds.

Bad connections in the head of the motor? I'll be taking my head unit apart today to shorten my long shaft troller down to a short shaft. I'll keep you problem in mind and try to take some pictures. Maybe it will shed some light on your problem. I'll post back later tonight.

Thanks....I checked it out today with my GPS Speeds 1 thru 3 are the same about 2.O MPH. Speed 4 is slower and speed 5 is faster. Took the top cover off and found the contacts are in a sealed unit :(
