I have an '84 Islander that is leaking water around where the cabin meets the gunnels and decking. There's a hairline crack in the factory caulk all the way around. I tried a bead of silicone around it last year but it didn't help much. This time I'm going to cut out the old caulk and try again, but what should I use? I talked to a guy at west marine and he recommended sikaflex 295 uv, which they don't carry and I can't seem to find locally. Any other suggestions?

West Marine has their own brand of caulk and adhesive sealants, hard to beat 3 M though. The 4200 is a faster cure semi-permanent,while the 5200 is considered a permanent sealant, any would be a good choice.
