For all the guys I've heard whining about how much they think Lowrance sucks - HERE is another example of how I've had NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS to say about them and have had good experiences with using the products.

Yes - I've had some long hold times in the past on the phone - but always got great service since I started using the products 20 some years ago.

For assisting me and my friend Jack , who has a LMS520 and LCX27 on his Lund 1800 Fisherman.
This early spring the X27 screen would get fuzzy and the colors would get all distorted , but work intermittently. To resolve this , I emailed Linda a total of three times!
(the third time being solely a thank you from Jack & I.)

I provided her the requested information on Monday and this week Thursday FedEx dropped a new LCX27c at Jack's house - she told me that she sent a pre-paid mailer to return the defective unit in the mail, so in other words...
ZERO down time in between!!

I emailed Linda the other day about my HDS -5 and got her out of office notice. The email address she gave me got bounced back. So I emailed Tech through thier website and nothing other than the "we got your email but we get a lot of emails" email. That was Monday.

So... anyone want to give out Linda's email? I'm now having issues with my LMS520 that have me this ---> <--- close to dumping it on Craigs List and getting a Humminbird 700 series.

I kinda want to go about this as a non-retailer actually. If I get no satisfaction from Linda I'll start making some REAL phone calls.

Or I'll just dump it on Craigs List and get another 'Bird.

Linda is a great CSR working for a great company - I've updated the firmware on my LMS 3 or 4 times and never had a problem yet - I think I updated the firmware on my 'Bird twice and same thing...
Nothing but good luck with it.
If you changed brands - no biggie , I can't find a thing to say that's bad about either.
I certainly have no "connections" inside Lowrance and haven't had since the early '90's.
Linda Colt has taken very good care of thousands of customers for a few years now - just the average Mike's & Joe's.....mostly and the great & powerful 0zzYz when they wander astray....
