25hp mariner tiller conversion

I JUST PICKED UP A 1990 25HP MARINER. IT IS A CONTROLS VERSION AND I WOULD LIKE TO REVISE IT TO A TILLER CONTROL. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY BOAT MOTOR SCRAP YARDS THAT I MAY GET LUCKY AND FIND THE PARTS I NEED. I AM IN THE FLINT AREA BUT NOT A PROBLEM TO MAKE A ROAD TRIP FOR PARTS....THANKS, GREG buschdog123@yahoo.com

E-Bay is your best bet, keep in mind it is often less expensive to just sell your motor and buy one that is already a tiller.

mercury may make kits to go from remote to tiller if yours is not a yamaha made motor it's not hard to find if its is merc if your mariner is a yamaha you will be hard to find any of the part to convert to tiller . call any of the mercury dealers with your ser# and ask if one is made for yours . good luck stevek8vol
