Fellas - I'm still not getting fuel out of the bowl!? I've cleaned this stupid carb 10 times. Checked the float, all the ports, and still no luck. I took the carb up to a local shop. They said they could order me a rebuild kit for $35 and put it in for $100! That seemed crazy - I already had the carb off the motor. I don't even no if I need the rebuild kit. At this point I'm ready to take it somewhere, but I need someone I can trust locally. I'm in Ypsi and work in Madison Heights. Any body got any sugestions.

If it is truly the carb that is causing your problems here's something to try. When my lawnmower doesn't want to run, I take the carb off, take it apart, put all the needle valves, springs, floats everything that can be unscrewed, and put everything including the carb body in a coffee can, and cover all of it with fresh gas. This gas is what caused the problem, because gas is the only thing that runs through the carb, maybe alittle oil mixed in with it. Let it sit for acouple of days, then get some small wire, or use a air compressor, and clean out everyplace that you took out, screws, needle valves, floats let everything dry out real good, and put it back together, and see what happens. It works for me. The needle valves I seat, and turn out 1 1/2 turns, and that's usually a good ballpark position. Good Luck.
