Lowrance Ship/Shore Radio connecting to GPS

Hey there guys,

I have a Lowrance LMS 527 IGPS DF fish finder and just bought a Lowrance LVR-250 ship/shore radio. My question is how do i connect this radio into the finder? I know some of you over by the great lakes have done this so i am looking for some help on hooking this up. Thanks!:dizzy:

Is this a DSc Radio? You need to Connect the NEMA out of the GPS to the NMEA IN on Radio, but they might both have grounds. I don't know exactally how yoru unit will connect but a guess is:

Take the NMEA OUT(+) from the GPS and hook it to the NMEA IN(+) of the Radio. Now take the NMEA OUT(-) from the GPS and the NMEA IN (-) from the radio and hook to a common ground.
