The foam on the inside of the cowal on a mercury motor is coming loose. Any special kind of glue needed to reattach?

not really ,but a good construction adhesive can be your best friend. 3m makes some good ones that stick to foam ,will not harden and can take some exposure to moisture.

I would try contact cement or some spray trim adhesive,3M is best but other brands work too.

Becareful, some construction adhesives will melt the foam and not stick to it. Read the label.

Ace hardware carries a spray glue that works well. You spray both sides (foam and cover) wait a couple of minutes and then lay in your foam. Be sure to clean the inside of the cover of all oil, grease, and loose debris and dry it before hand. Also be sure the foam is in good shape meaning its not all ate up by oil and gas.

I just made some marker bouys out of foam, I used Gorilla Glue to glue the foam togather. Gorilla Glue seems to stick to everything but I am not sure how it would handle the heat from the motor.
